As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Roger may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Sand and Marie Sand (Deschamp); his daughter-in-law Kristi Sand; and his sister-in-law Elaine Sand. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lucht; his sons, Mylan Sand of Minot, ND, Bill Sand (Linda) of Burlington, ND and Peter Sand of Moorhead, MN; his granddaughter Elizabeth Carter (Darren) of Fargo, ND; and his brother Leslie Sand. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Little Flower Catholic Church (800 University Ave W, Minot, ND 58703). A vigil service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
