He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Sam and Alvina Sam (Kapp); his wife Lois Stoppleworth; and his siblings, Gerald Sam, Duane Sam, Virginia Schmidt, June Berge and Shirley Striechen (Docktor).
He is survived by: his children, Robert Sam (Maria), Michelle Jacob (Jeff) and Marcus Sam (Stacey); his grandchildren, Porschea, Sydney, Chandler, ShayLynn, Alex, Hunter, Taylor, Izabella and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Paisley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
