He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Ackerman and Rose Ackerman (Meyer); his wife Eleanor Ackerman; his siblings, Jerome "Bud" Ackerman (Isabelle), Maurice Ackerman (Adeline), Alvin Ackerman, Lawrence Ackerman, Evelyn Schmitz (Leo), Rachel Mattern (Lloyd), Shirley Clark (James) and Marlyn Moericke; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Kalmbach and Sharon Ackerman.
He is survived by: his spouse Cheryl Longre; his daughters, Sarah Maenza and Paula Olin (Kirk); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Dakota, Evan and Elsie; his siblings, James Ackerman (Eleanor), LeRoy Ackerman (Judy) and Darlene Bartuska; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Moericke and Sally Ackerman.
Memorials : In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the St. Agnes Cemetery Fund.
