With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Neil Newport of Minot, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Newport and Sigrid Newport (Thoreson); his brother Levi Newport (Shirley); and his brother-in-law Neil Draper. He is survived by: his wife Rita Jo Newport; his children, Brenda Reed (Greg) of Minot, Cheryl Richter of Minot and Shane L. R. Newport (Brandi) of Minot; his grandchildren, Amanda, Koral Rose, Jordyn, Reese Corbin, Riley James, Tenlee Morgen and Nylah Jolynn; and his siblings, LeVere Draper of Minot and Nicki Newport of Minot.
