He was predeceased by: his father Richard McLeod; his mother-in-law Janice Plessas; and his grandparents, Venette and Horace McLeod. He is survived by: his mother Dian McLeod (Hames); his wife Kristin Plessas; his children, Kaden, Lexi, Bailey and Alexis; his siblings, Scott McLeod (Roni), Barb McLeod (Christy) and Joan Carvell (Steve); his aunt Jeannie McLeod; his parents-in-law, Karen Plessas and Donald Plessas Jr.; his siblings-in-law, D. James Plessas (Maelyn), Dale Plessas (Jackie), David Plessas and Kirby Plessas; and his nieces and nephews, Tom Carvell, Rebecca Reynolds, Kaitlyn Plessas, Kennedy Plessas and Emily Plessas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (707 16th Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A vigil service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, an educational fund for Matt's three children, has been set up at a local credit union in Minot.
