It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maralyn Braaten of Minot, North Dakota, born in Bottineau, North Dakota, who passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Waters and Lydia Waters (Pugh); her husband Floyd Braaten; her great grandchild Easton Braaten; and her siblings, Leland, Allen, William Waters, Mildred Shirley and Margaret Pautzke.
She is survived by: her children, David Braaten (Elaine), Kathy Wiedrich (Robert) of Cathay, ND, Linda Beyreis (Alan) of Garrison, ND and Pamela Seibert (Steve); and her grandchildren, Travis Braaten (Shannon), Melissa Braaten, Scott Braaten (Jessica), Heather Wherley (Brentt), Ashley Toliver (Theo), Lisa Walters (Adam), Valerie Smith (Bubba), Christopher Wiedrich, Brianna Seibert, Brittany Stockie (Ryan), Brice Seibert and Brian Seibert.
Memorials are preferred to the food pantry or building fund at Faith United Methodist Church, Minot.
