She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Zavalney and Nellie Zavalney (Zakopyko); her husband Sam Verbitsky; and her siblings, Evelyn Verbitsky (George) and Ralph Zavalney (Fern).

She is survived by: her children, Alan Verbitsky (Laurie) and Alisa Hartman (Rodney); her grandchildren, Jessica Hartman, Samee Hartman, Nikolai Verbitsky, Kathryn Verbitsky and Karena Verbitsky; and her great grandchild Daniel Carvajal. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
