He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyal Hornaday and Gertie Hornaday (Wadholm); his son Lane Hornaday; his sisters, Yvonne Olson, Carol Norton, Marsha Peterson, Lauren Ruland and Bonnie Hornaday; and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Norton, Patrick Riley, Mathew Rudland, Kathy Barry, Keri Edwards, Kyanne Olson and Kym Capek.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Schlosser; his child Lee Hornaday (Kami Kalberer); his grandson Ben Hornaday; his great grandchildren, Tanner Hornaday (Davana), Brianna Hornaday (Terrell Moore) and Lynell Bachmeier of Stanley, ND; his siblings, Forrest Hornaday of Scappoose, OR, Rick Hornaday (Wanda), Fern Skarphol (Harlan) of Ryder, ND and Sharon Hornaday of Portland, OR.; and also, Scott, Jill Muhle, Kelsey Baeza (Manuel), Caitlyn Bachmeier (Spencer Brekhus) and Annie Bachmeier (Carter Gage).
