Lloyd Sawyer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd Sawyer of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ericka Erickson and William George Sawyer; his wife Loy; his siblings, Bob and Jeanne; his cousin Jim Erickson; and his son-in-law Tom Walker.
He is survived by: his sister Arlyne McCleary of Moorhead, MN; and his daughters, Erica Walker of Ankeny, IA, Carol Belieu of Martensdale, IA, Ellen Cox (Bill) and Jane Valderrama of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), served as photographer and held several offices in the American Legion, was a member of the Elks and served as chairman of the Elks National Foundation for one year.
