It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry D. Schmidt of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merl Schmidt and Inez Schmidt (Buss); and his in-laws, Floyd and Pearl Hanson. He is survived by: his sons, James Dean (Velvet) of Bismarck and Scott Alan (Crystal) of Minot; his wife Carol J. Hanson; his daughter Nancy Froslie of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchild Dr. Darby Schmidt (Kirill Lipatov) of Duluth, MN; his children, Zachary Schmidt of Fargo, Taylor Froslie of Jamestown and Maxwell Froslie of Bismarck; his siblings, Norma Anderson (Gary) of Sheldon, ND and David Schmidt of Fargo; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hanson of Dubuque, Randy Hanson of Minot and Susan Hotchkin of Dubuque. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church, Caring Edge Hospice or to an organization of donor's choice.
