He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Holand and Allie Holand (Matthiasson); his daughters, Jane Valente (George) and Jennifer Nelson (Christopher); his siblings, Stephanie Gestson and Richard Holand; and his siblings-in-law, Myron Gestson and Lorna Holand.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Einarson; and his sister Janice Lofthus (Bill) of Mesa, AZ..
