She is survived by: her former husband Charles Hystad; her husband Melvin; her daughters, Tammi Schatz (Matt) of Velva and Sara Merck (Mark) of Hillsboro; her granddaughters, Addyson, Avery Merck of Hillsboro and Samantha Olsen (Bryan); her great grandchildren, Aaralyn, Abram, Ophelia of Velva and Mallory Schatz-Howell (Alex); her brothers, Ronald Heizelman (Patricia) of Denver, CO and Garry Heizelman of Minot; and also, Trace and Miller of Minot.
