He is survived by: his wife Loretta Mae Ellsworth; his children, Larry Schmaltz (Barb) of Parker, CO, Terry Schmaltz, Sydney, Connie Zahn (Brian) of Denver, CO, Coleen Stutrud (Todd) of Barton, ND, Carla Eisenzimmer (Rob) of Bottineau, ND, Donna Stratton (Keith) of Westhope, ND and JoAnn Early (Andy) of Bismarck, ND; his son-in-law Dale Volk of Rugby, ND; and his grandchildren, Laura Zahn (Charles DeRosa), Christina White (Jared), Christopher Volk (Sadie), Keighly Johnson, Kendra Miller (Chad), Scott Schmaltz, Joshua Stutrud (Morgan), Aaron Eisenzimmer (Hayden), Dylan Stratton (Alyssa), Paige Stratton, Austin Schmaltz, Estelle Schmaltz, Darius "De" Ellis, Luke Early, Andy Early and Spencer Early. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
