He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Thomas and Wendelin Thomas; his wife Joanne Benecke; his siblings, Jerome and Marty; his siblings-in-law, Judy, Gene Benecke, Dan Fuehring, Bill Benecke and Jim Workman; and his granddaughter Gabrielle Boyko.
He is survived by: his children, Kris (Chuck), John (Patty), Heather (Grant), Nicki (Robert) and Michael (Susan); his grandchildren, Alesha (Jesse), Amanda, Rebecca, Emma, Ava, Taylor (Gaant), Tori, Shea (Joel), Nolan, Samantha, Jadyn, Luke, Carli, Brady, Jacob, Seth, Brianna, Jessica, Savannah, Rylee, Ryan, Sophie, Chloe and Tristan; his great grandchildren, Bella, Caleb, Rylan, Braylee, Elma, Asher, Tatum, Bexlee and Elvira; and his sisters, Rosie, Mary and Lois. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and in-laws.
