She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Mittleider and Martha Mittleider (Mehlhoff); and her siblings, Lillian West, Bernice Steinwand, Eleanor Meyer and Arvid Mittleider.

She is survived by: her husband Bennie Degenstein; her children, Jeanne Kime (William) of Peoria, AZ, Kevin Degenstein (Rebecca) of Great Falls, MT and Joette Heath; her grandchildren, Katherine Giles (Zech) of Arizona, Michael Degenstein (Tessa) of Michigan, Elizabeth Boone (Joseph) of Montana, Jacob Degenstein of Montana, Vanessa Bruns (Cody) of Minot, ND and Timothy Heath of Minot; her great grandchildren, Rylee Herrell, Allyson Herrell, Matthew Giles, Anna Degenstein, Lily, Pearl Boone, Haidyn Heath and Logan Hoffman; her siblings, Evangeline Stuber of LaCrescenta, CA, Moranda "Randy" Johnson of Harvey, ND and Arlo Mittleider of Page, ND; and her sister-in-law Eva Mittleider of Ellendale, ND.
