It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Stewart of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Stewart and Ethel Stewart (Blair); his wife Deborah "Debbie" Barnes; his sister Sharon; and his brother-in-law John Smith.

He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Mikkelson; his children, Brenda Studley-Scott (Fraser Scott) of Huntington Beach, CA, Brian Stewart, MD (Michele) of Grand Rapids, MI and Bridget Smith (Daniel) of Phoenix, AZ; his great grandchild Addison Grace; his stepmother Betty Stewart; and his siblings, Carole Stewart Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Allan Stewart of Kingsland, GA and Ronald Stewart (Janet) of Ecuador. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials: In remembrance of Jim Stewart's life, the family requests that any charitable donations be made in lieu of sending flowers to The Lord's Cupboard Food Pantry.
