He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Borseth and Jean Borseth (Bond); his parents-in-law, Paul and Melida Haakenson; his brother-in-law Mike Seibold; and his nephews, Eric Seibold and Max Stenberg.

He is survived by: his son Jim; his wife Karen; his children, Robert (Danielle) of Bismarck, Amanda of Minot and Jay (Anne); his grandchildren, Rawling, Parker, Ada, Adeline and Jed; and his siblings, Ken (Cil) of Glasgow, MT, Pete (Kari) and Mary Stenberg (Richard). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
