With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Henry Schweyen of Minot, North Dakota, born in Portal, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Anthony and Carrie Elizabeth Schweyen (Burke); his daughter Kimberly Schweyen; his brother Robert; his wives, Joyce Adell Gehring and Betty; his grandson Brendan; and his stepdaughter Kelly Haugen.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra (Mike Anderson), Toni (Michael Kizima), Jody Schweyen, Stuart Schweyen (Lori), Michael Schweyen (Lucille) and Ronni Schweyen (Roger VanDenHeuvel); his siblings, William (Judy) and Katherine (Larry Entzel); and also, Jenny, Sue, Cody, Kari, Lorrie and Mark. He is also survived by his 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society American Red Cross, Salvation Army.
