He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sjaastad and Patricia Sjaastad (Stevick); his grandparents, Elmer, Mildred Sjaastad, William and Hariette Stevick; his sister Pamela Shipley; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kristy and Kyle.
He is survived by: his son Nikko Sjaastad of Minot; his siblings, Ken, Greg Sjaastad, Sally Sjaastad and Julie Renfrew; his niece Michelle Mosure; and his nephew Bruce Anderson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
