He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jean Weiskopf; his children, Terry Clifford Thorpe (Pam) of Minot and Stephanie Lynne Thorpe of Fargo; his granddaughter Toridwaters Jean Thorpe; his great grandchildren, Orion M. Thorpe and Astrid B. Waters; and his grandfather Representative Elwood Thorpe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the organization of the donor's choice.
