She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Zahn and Deno Zahn (Zorn); her son Joel Zahn; and her siblings, Art, Elmer, Raymond, Adeline and Mildred.

She is survived by: her husband William Bachmeier; her children, Kirk Bachmeier (Melodie), Dalton and Meghan of Bismarck; her daughter-in-law Renee Zahn; her grandchildren, Ranee, Zechariah, Mollee and Emilee of Lincoln, ND; and her stepdaughters, Jeanette Bachmeier of Minot, VeeAnn Koapke of Minot and Valerie Stadheim of Minot.

Her heartbreaking battle with Alzheimer's caused her son to move her to Bismarck in 2019 to be closer to him and so he could assist with her care.
