He is survived by: his wife Angeline "Angie" Wenzel; his daughters, Tera Wenzel, Tawnya Follingstad (Mark) and Trisha Gould (Shaun); his grandchildren, Mason Gould, Jonah Follingstad, Lexi Gould, Henry Follingstad and Grace Follingstad; his siblings, Deborah O'Connell (Larry), Colleen Lapp (Russell) and Kevin Wenzel (Robyn); his nieces and nephews, Keri Eversmann (Matt), Chad O'Connell, Katie Wenzel, Samantha Lapp and Jesse Lapp; his great-nieces, Destany Eversmann, Boston, Dusty and Chachi; his stepchildren, Corrie Ott, Chris Ott (Stephanie) and Shirrell Ott; his stepgrandchildren, Mara Cox, Topher Ott and Cambree Ott; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Myla and Malakai.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Life Church.
Dan lived a full and joyful life, even through the years he spent navigating Alzheimer's. Once known for striking up conversations with just about anyone, Dan grew quieter over time, but his warm smile and sense of humor remained.
