He was predeceased by: his son Samuel; his nephew Casey Knutson; his parents-in-law, Deane Lautenschlager and Florence Lautenschlager; and his siblings-in-law, Pam Petersen and Tony Starke.
He is survived by: his wife Penny; his sons, Bob Broeren (Margo), Phillip and Andrew; his parents, Robert and Marie of Minot, ND; his siblings, Ruth Lang of Minot, Kathy Swanson (Kenny) of Minot and Barb Lampron (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Paulette Dailey (Cort) of Bismarck, ND, Patricia Manus (Tom) and Paul Lautenschlager (Christine) of West Glacier, MT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
