He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Kabanuk; his wife Pam Everson; his children, Ashley Simpson of Minot, Curtis Jr. of Dickinson and Kenny Everson of Dickinson; his stepdaughter Gwen Askew of Minot; his grandchildren, Melissa Askew of Fargo, Janessa Maynard of Minot and Virgil Simpson of Minot; and his sisters, Kim McNicholas (Charles) of Minot and Candace Fahy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
