He was predeceased by: his father Glen Broten; his former wife Patrica Broten; his sisters, Glenice Cipriani and Connie Broten; and his brother-in-law Blaise Roblewsky.
He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Broten (Lynnes) of Niagara, ND; his daughters, Rachel Hust (Justin) of Bismarck, ND, Rebecca Rubbelke (Michael), St Cloud of Minnesota and Cassandra Broten; his grandchildren, Austin, Ansley Hust, Hannah and Caleb Rubbelke; his pet Aspen; his siblings, Gloria Halstenson (Jack), Helen Entze (Larry), Joanie Roblewsky and Ernie Broten; and his close friend Ruby Rau. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
