He is survived by: his parents, Larry Okeson and Heidi Okeson (Gathman); his siblings, Taylor Barstad, Jacy Barstad, Sydney Ritzschke (Carl), Jayden Okeson, Coy Okeson and Cade Okeson; his niece Brynn Barstad; his grandparents, Jan Tucker, Steve Gathman (Kim), Miles Panasuk, Marion Steen (Gerry) and Jeanne Monson; and his aunts and uncles, Todd Gathman (Heather), Josh Gathman (Camey), Ryan Gathman, Amanda Lang (Troy), Corrine Carstensen (Scot) and Lance Okeson (Julie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family for a future scholarship fund.
