He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Vannett and Mable Vannett (Olson); his siblings, Alden, Loren and Roxanne; and his son-in-law Brad Merkel.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Heinz; his children, Lorrie (Walls), Heidi (Merkel) and Michael (Rita); his siblings, Allwyn (Karen) and Cheryl Jaschob (Paul); his grandchildren, Tyler Merkel, Kendra Ramm (Robert), Noah Merkel, Justin Walls, Brittany Garrison (Tyler), Catherine Vannett, Maranda Boeser (Jack), Louis Vannett, Sophia Vannett, Joseph Vannett and Gianna Vannett; and his great grandchildren, Emmette, Maycee, Maverick Garrison, Maria Boeser and Rowen Ramm.
