He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Tryhus and Anna Tryhus (Pederson); his wife Margaret "Marge" Bertsch; and his sisters, Eleanor Allard and Clara Hunter.
He is survived by: his close friend Jayco; his children, LaDawn Tuck, Bismarck, LuAnn Tryhus (Peter Yung), Surrey and Clarey Tryhus (Judy); his siblings, Bud Tryhus of Minot, Darlene Peters of Minot and Ardis Markle (Bob) of Minot; and his half-sisters, Sandra Speerstra (Sam) of Great Falls, MT and Linda Krupa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers and plants memorials are preferred to the Cancer Care Center of Minot.
