He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Skager and Bessie Skager; his wife Ruth Skager (Larson); his siblings, Edwin Skager, Ethel Layton, Astrid Cook and Lela Hohbein; and his brother-in-law Doug Larson.
He is survived by: his sons, Trey Skager (Sandy), Kiel Skager (Cameo) and Seth Skager; his grandchildren, Christopher Skager, Jessica Dame (Tanner), Alexis Anderson, Zachary Anderson (Dakota Urban), Shae Skager, Jessica Maistrovich (Andy McCarty), Joe Maistrovich, Cheyenne Skager and Destry Skager; his great grandchildren, Hayden Johnson, Jaxon Prellwitz, Brantley Dame, Hailee Dame, Raelynn Dame, Emmett Dame, Trinity McCarty, Michael McCarty and Lilly McCarty; his siblings, Lola Holznagel, Donna Dick and Alvin Skager (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Mavis Rasmussen (Gordon) and Duane Larson (Shirley).
