She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond and Pearl (Helgesen); and her brother David Brostrom. She is survived by: her children, Loir McDaniel (Andrea) of Street, MD, Jan Hansen (Rod) of Minot and Carla Ware (Christopher) of Nottingham, MD; her siblings, Barbara Freyer of Minot, Wayne Brostrom (Marilyn) of Bismarck and Lynwood Brostrom (Julie) of Peachtree City, GA; her grandchildren, Alyssa Spokely (Kyle), Joelle McDaniel, Aaron Hansen (Sarah), Josh McDaniel, Jared McDaniel, Joel Ware and Claire Ware; and her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Grayson Spokely and Brielle Hansen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas Family Funeral Home (304 Main St S, Minot, ND 58701). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Minot Church of God (1105 16th St NW, Minot, ND 58703).
