He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his sons, Lorrie (Kathy) and David (Molly); his grandchildren, Chris Schaefer (Aneesha) of Grand Forks, ND and Heather Nelson (Travis); his great grandchildren, Miles, Charlie, Oliver Nelson and Saanvi Schaefer; and his brother Larry Schaefer (Lucille) of Austin, TX.
