He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Degenstein and Margaret Degenstein (Wentz); his wife Joan Mittleider; and his siblings, Julia Bergstad, Kate Marback, Elizabeth Smith, Walter, Raymond and Leonard Degenstein.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanne Kime (Bill) of Peoria, AZ, Kevin Degenstein (Rebecca) of Great Falls, MT and Joette Heath of Minot; his grandchildren, Katherine Giles (Zech), Michael Degenstein (Tessa), Elizabeth Boone (Joseph), Jacob Degenstein, Vanessa Bruns (Cody) and Timothy Heath; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Allyson Herrell, Matthew, Caleb Giles, Anna Degenstein, Lily, Pearl Boone, Haidyn Heath and Logan Hoffman; and his brother Edward Degenstein of Lodi, CA.
