Barry Borstad Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry Borstad of Minot, North Dakota, born in Langdon, North Dakota, who passed away on January 26, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanding Borstad and Mavis Borstad (Christianson); his brother Skip (Blanding Jr.); and his daughter-in-law Heidi Borstad (Jacobs). He is survived by: his wife Karen Abel; his children, Biana Borstad, Josh Borstad (Becky) and Brett Borstad (Leilani); his grandchildren, Katie, Alana and Bjorn; and his close friend Kip Greig. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Barry Borstad, age 74, died January 26, 2024 due to complications from Progressive Supernuclear Palsy (PSP), a Parkinson type disease.
