He is survived by: his children, Connie Thompson (Erick) of Granville, ND and Richard Ness (Kathy) of Fargo, ND; his close friend Marianne Ryan; his grandchildren, Jackie Strand, Wanda Bachmeier (Dale), Heidi Tank (Roger), Teresa Knudson (Randy), Myka Ness and Katie Ness; and his great grandchildren, Sheldon, Taylor, Shailah Strand, Wyatt, Ethan, Lane, Grace Bachmeier, Jessica, Joshua Tank of Cole Genetzky, Lacy, Levi, Brandon, Brooke, Brock, Brielle Knutson and Triston Duelman.
