He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leonard, Gerald, Gilbert "Joe", Vera Redmer, Ellen Belak and Erna Filipek; and his stepmother Mary Klein.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Irene Norby; his children, Ronald (Michele), Gregory (Cassandra), Scott (Tamara), Bruce and Carol Phillips (Paul); and his siblings, Ed Klein, Elsie Ganskop, Ruth Pitts and Joanne Ragsdale. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one step-great grandson.

Memorials are preferred to the Red Cross, Lord's Cupboard Food Pantry, or the donor's choice.
