He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Erickson and Irma Erickson (Johnson); his children, Tracy and McKay; his brothers-in-law, Larry Fiedler and Carl Leroy; and his nephew Matthew Leroy.
He is survived by: his former wife Janis Hallingstad; his wife Judy Borman; his sons, Todd Erickson (Tammy) and Trent Erickson (Susan) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Candace Leier (Aaron), Alyssa Marum (Jarrit), Berthold, Bret Erickson (Jacey), Casey Erickson (Michele), Tracy Erickson (Joy) of Minneapolis, MN, James Salinas (Emily) of Huron, SD and Alexandra Erickson of Chicago, IL; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Addyson Leier, Cameron, Ryan, Hayden Erickson, Ayda, Quinn, Porter, Roman Erickson, August and Ella Salinas; his stepchildren, Virgil, Stewart Borman and Wendy Burman; his sisters, Deneen Leroy, Janice Fiedler (Dennis Linnertz), Jackie Rieger (Ed), Glenda Quick (Raymond) and Cindy Leines (Darrell); and his aunts, Vivian Erickson and JoAnn Cote.
