She was predeceased by: her sister Valerie (Bruce Blend); her brother-in-law Paul Nicolai; her grandsons, Gabriel Crist and Kyle Wetzel; and her parents-in-law, Bernard and Shirley Nicolai.
She is survived by: her parents, Edgar Hoesel and Esther Hoesel (Wolf); her husband Stephen Nicolai; her children, Nicole Crist (Jeff), Amanda Miller (Ivan), Jennifer Eberle (Donny), Kathleen Nicolai and Matthew Nicolai; her grandchildren, Andrew, Madeline, Jacqueline Crist, Peter, Eva, Jocelyn, Jessa Eberle and Jacob Wetzel; her brothers, Keith (Roberta), Michael (Joann) and David Hoesel (Susan); and her in-laws, Philip Nicolai (Katheryn), Mark Nicolai (Kari), Ann Marie Hertz (Reed), David Nicolai (Ronda), William Nicolai (Marlys), Richard Nicolai and Douglas Nicolai.
