He was predeceased by: his brother Gerardo Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Alicia; his children, Hilda Flores (Gilbert), Julissa Hinojosa (Gumersindo), Rosalinda Bugarin (Roberto), Araceli Lopez (Nazario), Sulema Prieto (Carlos) and Jose Luis Jr. Martinez (Iracema); and his siblings, Maria Cristina Lara Martinez, Dario Martinez and Miguel Martinez. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
