He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ruud of Mapes, ND. and Emma Ruud (Swenseth) of Mapes, ND.; his siblings, Elden and Lois Rosenow; his brothers-in-law, John Lindvall and Arnold Haugen; his nephew Bradley Haugen; and his great-nephews, Paul Fiebiger and Tim Lindvall.
He is survived by: his wife Clarine; his children, Gary Ruud, McVille Ruud, Daniel Ruud and Helen Smaage (Allen); his granddaughter Tiffany Smaage; his siblings, Lloyd Ruud (Marilyn), Joan Lindvall, Cooperstown, Gladys Haugen, McVille Robinson, Arlene Robinson (Jerry) and Lakota; his siblings-in-law, Peggy Ruud and Marvin Helland (Nina); and also, McVille, Devils Lake, West Fargo and Anamoose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
