It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Makeeff of Mercer, North Dakota, born in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Makeeff and Rosella Makeeff (Fried); and his siblings, Arnie, Perry, Raymond, Myron, Irene and Doris.

He is survived by: his wife Deloris Zerr of Mercer; his children, Scott of Hastings Minnesota and Dawn (Lynn) of Hannaford, ND; his grandsons, Tanner, Brady and Travis of Bismarck, ND; and his sister Deloris Howe of Minot, ND..
