He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. and Evelyn Rath (Winterberg). He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Melissa and Mark of Menoken; and his sisters, Linda Raatz (Dave), Bismarck Rath, Della Rath and Anamoose. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
