He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob G. Dockter and Bertha Dockter (Mayer); his wife LuVerne Kapp; and his brother Eldo. He is survived by: his daughters, Winnemucca and Reno; his grandchildren, Leesa Sandhoff, Elko, Matthew Rhiley (Donette), Reno, Springs of Colorado, Jeremy Olson, Mannheim and Germany; his great grandchildren, Dessirae (Christopher Maroney), Kaitlin Phipps, Andrew Phipps and Zachary Sandhoff; his great great grandchild Cedric Maroney; and his siblings, Alma Dewald (Dockter), Sel Dockter (Margaret) and Vern Dockter (Gloria).
Covid lockdowns at Summit Estates in 2020, with no indoor visits and only occasional 30-minute visits outdoors, caused a difficult time for Marvin and his health began to decline leading to his passing.
