She was predeceased by: her parents, A. J. Andres and Theresa Andres (Hartzfeldt); her husband William F. Schmidt; her daughter Carol Thornton; her son-in-law Dick Hocking; her grandson-in-law Kendall Hofmann; and her siblings, Luella Rieley, Marie Bohn, Elmer, Irwin, Carl, Loyd and Lester.
