He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Vrem and Agnes Vrem (Gjestvang); his brothers, Archer, Orris, Vernon and Wallace Vrem; and his significant other Jenny Vrem.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Roerick; his daughters, Roxanne Lang (Bryan), Wanda Throlson (Trent) of Fargo, ND and Kristie Haakenson (Todd) of Willow City, ND; his grandchildren, Matthew Lang (Alyssa), Mitchell Lang (Morgan), Nicholas Throlson (Kelly), Ashley Lorrain Hafner (Devan), Brody Haakenson, Brock Haakenson, Blake Haakenson (Kaitlyn) and Brant Haakenson; his great grandchildren, Reese Lang, Quinn Lang and Bryson Hafner; his siblings, Mike Vrem (Diane), Bernice Newman and Shirley Ehlers (Dale); and his sister-in-law Diane Piker (DeWayne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
