He was predeceased by: his parents, David Axt and Annie Axt (Mauch); and his siblings, Lloyd, Arnold, Evangeline, Olivia and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Dockter; his sister Lorraine Kahler; his children, Laurell Brown (Harry), Michael (Marjorie) and Lynn Singer (Paul); and his grandchildren, Joshua Brown (Jenni), Jason Axt (Cindy), David Axt (Carrie), Jessica Streu (Billy), Carissa Axt (Darin Spelhaug), Jordan Singer (Kimberly), Todd Singer (Kamaya), Katie Sgrignoli (Nate) and Grant Singer (Jordyn). He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
