He is survived by: his spouse Mary Kay Schmidt; his daughter Debbie Defoe (Randy) of Pembina; his grandsons, Aaron Defoe (Melissa), Kyle Defoe (Seana), Dustin Holt, Tanner Holt and Dalton Holt; his great grandchild Callie Defoe; his siblings, Donna Lande, Beverly Kuntz, Allan Holt and Dale Holt (Bev); his sister-in-law Eileen Holt; and also, Rob Hach (Rachel), Cherri Fransen (Paul) and Brian Hach. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
