He is survived by: his wife Inez Nelson (Amb) of Galesburg, ND.; his children, Kandiss McVey (Butch) of Sparks, NV, Roy Nelson of Portland, ND and Jody Stevens (Jeffery) of Portland, ND; his son-in-law Irwin Haaland of Mayville, ND; his grandchildren, James McVey (Virginia) of Elko, NV, Patrick McVey (Janelle) of Spring Creek, NV, Roy Jr. Nelson (Rosa) of Minneapolis, MN, Elizabeth Nelson (Jordan Cossette) of Independence, OR and Emma Stevens of Portland, ND; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Amelia McVey of Spring Creek, NV; his brother Dean Nelson (Jane); his sister-in-law Dorothy Nelson of Mayville, ND; and his goddaughters, Cristy Nelson and Terri Nelson. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
