He was predeceased by: his parents, Halvor Brustad and Louisa Brustad (Solberg); his wife Nathalie "Becky" Beck; his siblings, Harold, Ruben, Lilly, Goodie and Arline; his daughter-in-law Jayne; his grandson Alex; and his great grandchild Conner.
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Gail), Nathan (Dawn), Vicki Berg (Terry), Peggy Fyre (Ken), Pam Armstrong (Tim), Patti Ahl (Barry) and Lisa Rygg (Marius); his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Shirley Beck; and his close friend Karen Knudsvig. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
