He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Nelson (Knodel) and Paul Orville Nelson; his brother Calvin Nelson; and his son Richard Nelson. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Kraft (Curtis); his stepchildren, Julie Childs-Cunningham and Joseph Childs (Jennifer); his brothers, Russ Nelson (Judy), Gordon Nelson (Evon), Chuck Nelson (Nori) and Kelly (Lori Willoughby); and his sister-in-law Nancy Nelson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Olaf Lutheran Church (1702 13th St NW, Turtle Lake, ND 58575).
