He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Rust and Marie Rust (Jans) of Martin; his wife Jean Zweigle; his siblings, Alfred, Warren, Calvin, Gerhardt, Ralph, Terrance, William, Adeline, Marcella, Patricia and Janice; his son Jonah; and his grandsons, Philip Rust (Mike) and Seth Rust (Paul).
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Rust (Kim) of Harvey, Jeff Rust (Laura) of Bismarck and Paul Rust (Brenda) of Elbing, KS; his grandchildren, Jacob Rust (Amber), Janelle (Zach Goodrich) of Hesston, KS, Caleb Rust of Missoula, MT, Cameron Rust of Hesston, KS, Naomi Rust of Xenia, OH, Clayton Rust and Devin Rust of Elbing, KS; his great grandchildren, Camden, Brekken Rust of Gillette, WY, Brylee, Jace and Lakyn Goodrich of Hesston, KS; and his sister Juli Kautzman (Ted).
